Charlton’s U21s came from behind twice to claim a point at Crewe Alexandra on Tuesday afternoon.
Regan Griffiths fired the hosts ahead on 12 minutes, sending an unstoppable volley beyond Ahmed Kone.
The young Addicks responded on the stroke of half-time through Tolu Ladapo, who turned well before rifling home.
Max Woodcock restored Crewe’s advantage 11 minutes from time with a first-time finish, but Danny Senda’s side were back on level terms just moments later when substitute Ryan Huke converted an excellent team move.
The drama continued as Euan Williams found the back of the net in the closing stages, only for the goal to be chalked off for handball.
The U21s are next in action on Tuesday, April 18th when they travel to Barking in the quarter finals of the London Senior Cup.
