Why Join Valley Gold?

SUPPORT THE CLUB

Valley Gold enables fans to support the club in unearthing the talents of tomorrow – as well as giving them the chance to scoop up to £5,000 in regular cash prizes. The matchday draw scheme was originally set up in 1989 to help finance the return to The Valley, which was achieved in December 1992.

WIN WITH VALLEY GOLD

For an annual subscription of £120 – which can be paid monthly, quarterly, half-yearly or yearly by online payment, standing order, cheque or cash – members are entered into cash draws at every home league match.

DAILY DRAWS

We conduct Daily Draws (excluding Bank Holidays) where one Valley Gold member wins a £10 Love2shop voucher. Results for our Daily Draws are posted on our Winners page and X (formerly known as Twitter) @ValleyGold.

MATCHDAY HOSPITALITY

Before each home league and cup match, Valley Gold conducts a random draw to invite Valley Gold members to watch the game in style from our Executive Box in the Alan Curbishley Stand. We select five members per match and are invited to bring a guest along to enjoy the experience.

CROSSBAR CHALLENGE

One lucky Valley Gold member is given the chance to take part in the Valley Gold Crossbar Challenge. The competition is simple, take one shot, hit the crossbar in front of the Covered End and win a cash prize.

WHY IS VALLEY GOLD SO IMPORTANT?

Valley Gold: CAFC Academy Class of 2018

Under the Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP), the club’s academy is currently assessed as Category 2.

Becoming a Category 1 club is important for recruiting and retaining the very best youth talent, as it enables them to compete against the best sides in their age group on a weekly basis.

Category 1 clubs are also able to freely ‘scout’ lower category clubs. The average cost of running a Category 2 academy is £1.6m per annum. From a financial perspective, this represents the second biggest cost centre of the club, with the largest being the first-team squad.

This is a huge level of cost to support each year, which is why the Football Club continues to be so grateful to Valley Gold members for its fundraising efforts.

Terms and Conditions

Valley Gold membership is open to individuals over 16 years of age. You can buy as many memberships as you wish and, as long as your subscriptions are up to date, your numbers are in the draws. Membership of Valley Gold is an extra commitment made by Charlton supporters to help support Charlton Athletic Football Club and football generally. If that commitment becomes too much for whatever reason, please simply halt the payments and inform the Valley Gold office either by phone or in writing. Your Membership Card remains the property of Valley Gold and must be returned if you decide to leave the scheme.
