Charlton’s U18s equalised late on to claim a 1-1 draw against Reading at Sparrows Lane on Saturday.
Reading’s number 10 gave the visitors a 13th-minute lead from the penalty spot, firing his spot-kick past Henry Molyneux.
The young Addicks created a number of chances before equalising five minutes from time, when a Royals defender failed to deal with Mason Hunter’s diagonal ball forward and sent a looping a header beyond his goalkeeper.
Jason Pearce’s side are next in action on Saturday, March 11th when they host Aston Villa in the Premier League Cup semi-finals. Valley Gold members can attend the cup tie at Sparrows Lane.
