Charlton’s U18s recorded a third successive victory on Saturday with a 2-1 success at Queens Park Rangers.
Patrick Casey continued his rich vein of form in front of goal, bagging a brace for the second game running.
The striker fired the young Addicks ahead after just 13 minutes following excellent wing play from Henry Rylah. The wideman raced down the right flank and pulled the ball back for the advancing Casey, who slotted home with his left foot.
QPR responded 12 minutes later through Teddy Lawrence, but Casey was on hand to restore his side’s advantage soon after the restart.
This time it was Kai Enslin who teed up Casey and, again, the Irishman made no mistake, sidefooting home from 20 yards to ensure Charlton made it three Professional Development League Two – South wins on the spin.
