Charlton’s U18s began the new year in fine fashion with a comprehensive 5-0 victory over Swansea City at Sparrows Lane on Saturday.
Patrick Casey, Ryan Huke, Kai Enslin and Henry Rylah were all on target for the young Addicks, along with a Swansea own goal.
Casey opened the scoring on 25 minutes, converting Rylah’s cross with an incredible, instinctive flick.
Huke doubled Charlton’s advantage on the half-hour mark, controlling Rylah’s centre superbly before rifling a left-footed effort into the bottom corner.
There was still time for the young Addicks to increase their lead with a pair of late goals, the first of which came courtesy of a Swansea man.
Moments later, Rylah added a goal to his two assists, racing onto Enslin’s flick and coolly finishing past the Swans’ stopper.
