Charlton U21 1-2 Fulham U21 (Premier League Cup)

Karoy Anderson was on target, but Charlton’s U21s slipped to defeat at home to Fulham in the Premier League Cup on Wednesday.

The visitors went ahead at Princes Park on the 28-minute mark when Sylvester Jasper found Olly Sanderson, who finished from close range.

The young Addicks responded well and found an equaliser just before the break as Anderson’s right-footed effort from inside the area found the top corner.

However, Martial Godo scored what ultimately proved to be the winner 11 minutes after the restart. The tricky winger latched onto a Jay Williams ball into the box before converting calmly to ensure Fulham concluded their group stage campaign with a 100 per cent record.

Hamza Serrar’s side are back in action at Princes Park on Thursday, January 5th, when they host Hull City in their final Premier League Cup group game.
