Charlton’s U23s secured an emphatic victory in their last away trip of the season, beating Crewe Alexandra 4-0 on Monday afternoon.
Ryan Viggars opened the scoring with 16 minutes gone, diverting in Jeremy Santos’ corner after it had bounced back off the woodwork.
The Addicks would have to wait until around the hour mark to add a second with Charlie Barker converting Harris O’Connor’s cross, but it took just five more minutes for the Londoners to bag their third – Viggars rounding the keeper to secure his brace.
And with four minutes remaining, substitute Jason Adigun was on hand to bury Toby Bower’s ball at the far post to complete a comprehensive victory for Anthony Hayes’ youngsters.
Charlton U23s: Kone, O’Connor, Barker, Elerewe (Mitchell 59), Bakrin, Bower, Anderson, Santos (Adigun 46), Williams, Viggars, Kanu (Leaburn 67).
Subs (not used): Molyneux, Asiimwe.
