Dylan Gavin’s stunning strike for Charlton’s Under 23s against Reading at the Select Car Leasing Stadium has been voted the December 2021 Academy Goal of the Month.
The young Irishman scored in the 76th minute taking a touch from a Charles Clayden assist turning excellently before dispatching an unstoppable strike into the top right-hand corner in the 5-0 win – his second of the game.
Gavin’s effort was chosen by Charlton Supporters in an online vote organised by Valley Gold, beating seven other contenders.
