Charles Clayden’s stunning strike for Charlton’s Under 23s against Sheffield Wednesday on Monday, 12 April at Dartford’s Princes Park has been voted the April 2021 Academy Goal of the Month.
Clayden scored the Addicks’ second goal two minutes before half-time when he got down the left-hand side to cut inside and placing his shot into the corner of the net in an emphatic 4-0 win over the visitors.
Clayden’s effort was chosen by Charlton Supporters in an online vote organised by Valley Gold, beating ten other contenders.
