Charlton Athletic U18s midfielder Aaron Henry spoke to Valley Gold for Academy Notes after Saturday’s narrow 1-0 defeat at home to Crewe Alexandra.
The central midfielder who has been at the club since the age of 9 and enjoys being on the ball creating and making things happen told Valley Gold:
“In my honest opinion, I believe the defeat was very harsh. Overall I feel we dominated the game and had more than enough opportunities in which we could’ve worked their goalkeeper more. Their goal was an unfortunate mistake which can happen. A high hanging cross was spilt by James Beadle and adjudged to have crossed the line. We just didn’t have that cutting edge on the day to put it right and get back into the game. In the end, all of us were bitterly disappointed with the result.”
