Charlton Athletic Academy midfielder Richard Chin spoke to Valley Gold for Academy Notes after the recent U18s 4-1 win at home to Ipswich Town.
The dynamic and hard-working box-to-box midfielder signed for Charlton’s Academy at U7s and told Valley Gold:
“It wasn’t the best team performance from the boys, however, it was an afternoon with moments of high quality as Tyreece Campbell powered home and Dylan Gavin converted his penalty to put us 2-0 up after 20 minutes. A similar trend followed in the second half as Kai Garande finished an excellently worked corner to find the top corner whilst Tyreece secured his brace with another well-taken effort. Despite late pressure from Ipswich we were able to see the game out to secure all three points.”
