Charlton’s U23s finish season with 1-0 victory over Sheffield United

Charlton’s U23s finished the season with 1-0 victory over Sheffield United at The Valley on Monday afternoon.

Louis Yamfam scored the only goal of the game in the 63rd minute ensuring the U23’s go into the Professional Development League 2 play-offs on a high after recording three successive wins.

Jason Euell’s side end the campaign as runners-up and will they will now compete in the end-of-season play-offs for a third successive year.

In an even first half, the home side almost took the lead through Yamfam in the 30th minute when he hit a post from a strike from outside the penalty area.

The U23’s scored on 63 minutes and it was Yamfam who got the goal. Ben Dempsey crossed and at the second attempt, Louis Yamfam shot home.
