Valley Gold members are currently voting for their Charlton Athletic Young Player of the Year and Academy Advisor Steve Avory gave us his professional insight into the three players up for the award, Karoy Anderson, Ibby Fullah. and Keenan Gough.
The trio are deserving of being nominated for the award and it is fitting in each case that their development journey at the Charlton Athletic Academy has been since the Foundation Phase years of Under 9 and 10 — A journey over 10 years or more, whereby each player will have benefited from the contribution that Valley Gold has made to their football experience and development.
Each player is very aware of what the Valley Gold membership has done for the Academy year upon year and in everyone of their years, supporting and enriching their experience.
They have each climbed towards one of their career goals to play first team football at Charlton Athletic. They know there is still much to do as developing players, but they are on the senior pathway and a message from all is: “Thank you Valley Gold”
