Valley Gold to sponsor Cheltenham Town game

Friday’s Sky Bet League One clash against Cheltenham Town will be sponsored by Valley Gold.

Given that Friday’s meeting with the Robins falls closest to the 30th anniversary of the Addicks’ historic return to The Valley, it will serve as the club’s annual ‘Back at The Valley’ fixture.

It is therefore fitting that Valley Gold, who helped finance the club’s return to The Valley 30 years ago, will be the match sponsor as the Charlton faithful come together to celebrate.

Matt Baker, Valley Gold Chair, said: “We are delighted to be able to sponsor this momentous Back at the Valley game. Valley Gold was founded in 1989 and played a vital part in raising funds to get the club back home.

“Since achieving this goal, the focus has switched to helping resource our fantastic academy as we continue to produce the young Charlton players of today. This sponsorship is testament not just to our fans’ dedication 30 years ago but also the ongoing commitment to our future.”

All 2022/23 season-ticket holders are invited to bring a friend to Friday’s game for free, while special matchday pricing is in place for the fixture with all adult, over 65 and U21 tickets priced at £19.92 each – a nod to the club’s 1992 return – anywhere inside The Valley. Click here to purchase your tickets.

Valley Gold enables supporters to play a pivotal role in the future of Charlton Athletic by helping the club to unearth talented footballers through its youth system. Valley Gold is entirely supporter-funded, with membership costing £120 per year.
