The Addicks were a shadow of themselves in the second half, conceding three goals in six minutes as Charlton slipped to a 3-2 defeat on Sunday afternoon.
Charlton went into the second half with a comfortable 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Ciara Watling and Jess King, but a terrible start to the second half saw the visitors snatch all three points.
The Addicks started on the front-foot and Charley Clifford saw her long-range strike collected by Sue Wood.
Beth Roe caused Coventry trouble down the left-wing, as the pacey defender constantly made dangerous runs while linking up play for Charlton attacks.
The Addicks linked up well and posed an early threat, Clifford, King and Ellie Dorey worked well and the latter cut the ball back in the box but Watling’s first effort was just wide in the 18th minute.
Ten minutes later Watling got her goal, quick passing play between Alice Griffiths, King and Dorey allowed the latter to again drill the ball across the face of for Watling to tap in and put the Addicks in front.
Watling almost scored a fantastic solo goal, picking up the ball in her own half and striding forward, however her effort slammed against the side-netting.
The Addicks got their second of the afternoon on the stroke of half-time, King did brilliantly to control a powerful, pin-point pass from Clifford to then slam the ball into the bottom corner.
The visitors responded straight away in the second half, Amy Merrick pinched the ball off Rachel Newborough and then fired the ball over Katie Startup.
Almost instantly Coventry were then level, the ball was played through to Amber Hughes who poked the ball into the net to make it 2-2.
In the 51st minute the visitors took the lead, the ball was played over the top to Hughes who took it down well and lobbed Startup to make it 2-3.
The Addicks never really got into their stride after the whirlwind start to the second 45.
Charlton called for handball in the 58th minute after a scramble from a corner but the referee waved away the claims.
The Addicks pushed for an equaliser later on in the half, but King’s effort in the 81st minute flew over the bar.
