On Monday afternoon and with all of the preparation done, our squad of U13 and U14 players will set off on the way to Gatwick Airport for the long-awaited tournament in Argentina.
In preparation, the combined team played Brighton last Sunday and won 4-1. This Saturday there will be the final warm-up game against Wimbledon.
The boys will be away for the 11th to the 19th of February playing a total of six games in Argentina. The full itinerary of the tour being
11th February Flight to Argentina
12th February Travel from Buenos Aires to Rosario and recoup
13th February Train and leisure time
14th February Game 1
15th February Game 2 and 3
16th February Game 4 and 5
17th February Game 6
18th February Leave Buenos Aires (being winners?!!!)
19th February Arrive back at Gatwick
Adam Lawrence who organised this trip for the boys explained that playing against South American teams will give them all invaluable experience. I will also give them ideas on how to cope with players that have been taught and trained in different ways.
